Nottingham has lots of accommodation available so there is no need to rush into signing for a property. There are many different types of accommodation available to students: University Halls of Residence, Private Halls of Residence, Private Accommodation and Lodging.You have different rights and responsibilities in each situation. The Information and Advice Service is ideally placed to advise you on the advantages and disadvantages of each option, as well as checking your contract to make sure you are getting a fair deal!

Rooms in Halls of Residence are available at a range of price points, with different features and facilities. We have compiled a list of all the options available at the residences where the Students' Union provide Freshers' Team and Hall Reps.

The spreadsheet shows:

  • Price per week
  • Price per year
  • Contract length
  • Room type
  • Bed size
  • Number of people in the flat
  • Distance to university
  • Internet type
  • Any extra costs (e.g. parking, internet)
  • Deposit amount
  • Whether they have onside laundry; common room; events programme; car parking; bike storage; mature and postgraduate flats; free gym; free travel pass; contents insurance
  • Any other notes
